HWP, HWPX and DOCX in one paragraph
HWP 5.0 stores document records in a binary container. HWPX stores XML sections and referenced images in a ZIP package. HanOpen reads either format into the same document model before producing your chosen output. In the 15 real documents collected for testing on 6 September 2026, 11 were HWP 5.0 and four were HWPX; this small sample is not a measure of national adoption.
